The Building Automation division of Siemens Greece supports as a sponsor the Hellenic Chapter of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) for 2013 – 2014. ASHRAE is a global union with the purpose of improving the quality of people’s lives through the use of technologies that promote sustainability in building facilities. Specifically, the union’s members focus on the enhancement of the sciences and technologies relating to heating, ventilation, air conditioning and cooling (HVAC).
Combining high expertise with cutting-edge solutions, Siemens participates in and supports the events of the Hellenic Chapter of ASHRAE, highlighting the significant impact of the use of building automations in energy saving.
In this context, during an event of the Hellenic Chapter of ASHRAE, George Kottaras, Director at Siemens Building Automation Division, described the contribution of building automations in sustainability and energy efficiency, and – thus – the overall protection of the related investments. Moreover, Mr. Kottaras presented as a milestone project the energy upgrade that Siemens has implemented through building automations at the Municipal Swimming Center of Ilioupoli. The company highlighted the direct and concrete benefits resulting from the respective investment.
Stavros Boultadakis, in charge of the promotion of Building Energy Management and Savings Sytems of Siemens Building Automation Division, participated as a speaker in the 1st Technical Workshop entitled “Energy in Buildings” that was organized by the Northern Greece Chapter of ASHRAE and was held on May 31st.
