Generation 21

Our initiative "Generation 21" is an extensive long-term educational program to support gifted children and youth.

Education is one of the main human needs and a prerequisite for individual and social development. The future of any society depends largely on the quality of science and technical education.  That is why we support education, science and technology aimed at finding and supporting talented youth.

1.Science to Business Program (S2B)

The program is a practical realization of a new concept of interaction between education and business on the market of highly skilled professionals. This project is our investment in development of higher technical education, which offers Ukraine a real chance to take its rightful place on the global map of leading competence centers.

S2B aims to unite efforts and financial capabilities of Siemens AG, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg and leading higher educational institutions of Ukraine.

Today S2B program includes leading technical universities of the country: NTU "Kharkov Polytechnic Institute", Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas and Odessa National Polytechnic University.

S2B program provides trainings conducted by highly qualified technicians of Siemens Ukraine and partner companies, during which participants study various technical disciplines (e.g. electrical engineering, automation technology)using Siemens equipment, as well as learn foreign languages. During the 6-month internship in different departments of Siemens in Germany, program participants get acquainted with western management style and specific work in the field of modern high-tech businesses.

Since 2005, Summer School for graduate students and young scientists "The achievements of modern mathematics, computer science and physics» AACIMP has been held annually at the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" with support of DP "Siemens Ukraine”. During the Summer School participants get acquainted with modern scientific achievements in the field of mathematics, physics, and natural science, topical issues of the development of modern information technology and computer science, and scientific journalism.

3.Support Scholarship Program Alpbach Forum internally displaced persons

In 2015, the public organization "Kiev Initiative Group Alpbach" held a competition for scholarships to participate in the prestigious European Alpbach Forum among internally displaced students and young professionals.

Understanding the importance of education and international cooperation, as well as the need to support talented youth in difficult conditions, Siemens Ukraine became one of the sponsors of the initiative.

As a result among 115 candidates 13 young people were selected the winners of the scholarship competition.
