Energy Policy Agreement (EPA): how to remain energy-efficient without it affecting your competitiveness

Ruth Lambrechts, Policy Expert - Expert Centre Energy - Agoria

During this presentation, you will get a better insight into the latest developments in energy efficiency legislation. We will be focusing on the Energy Policy Agreement (EPA) aimed at encouraging energy-intensive businesses to improve their energy efficiency and remain energy-efficient without it affecting their competitiveness. By signing the EPA, a business is entering into various commitments. For example, it will have to carry out an energy audit, resulting in an energy plan that prescribes (potentially) profitable measures. The business will also have to submit an annual report to the Verification Agency on measures carried out, studies, energy consumption, etc.
