13 March 2012

Siemens announces the launch of “Europeans @ Siemens”, a comprehensive internship and technical training program. The program covers the sectors of Mechatronics and Engineering (electrical and electronic) and is addressed to High School and Higher Education Technical Schools graduates, as well as to university students wishing a change of educational and professional direction. The internship will take place at Siemens’ offices in Berlin, starting on August 1st, 2012, and its duration is 3½ years. Those interested can submit their applications by March 31st, 2012.

The objective of the “Europeans @ Siemens” program is to offer the opportunity to develop valuable knowledge and acquire professional experience, which will serve as qualifications for a dynamic career in the future, to Europeans that currently start their career. In total, 40 Europeans will be selected to participate in the program. This year, four Greeks will be among the participants, who will have a guaranteed employment position at Siemens Greece following the program’s completion.

As part of the internship and technical training program, the participants will be placed in the Industry, Energy and Infrastructures & Cities Sectors. There, under the guidance of experienced Siemens executives, they will have the opportunity to develop their personal skills and explore new cognitive and professional fields, in a multicultural environment of innovation and pioneering technology.

The program offers a monthly salary, free-of-charge accommodation in Berlin, a certain number of tickets from and to the country of origin, 30 days of annual vacation, English and German language courses, as well as full support for the integration into the employment and social environment of the German capital. Finally, all participants will have the opportunity to receive a professional training title that is recognized in Germany, after taking the relevant exams of Berlin’s Commercial and Industrial Chamber (IHK Berlin).
