Siemens presented odor control solutions in a special event in Saudi Arabia

30 April 2012

Siemens presented the odor control solutions it offers to organizations and industries, at a special event, which recently took place in Al Khobar (Saudi Arabia). The presentation was part of a special education event held by the “Saudi Arabia Water Environment Association” (SAWEA) NGO. Georgios Ioannou, Technical Sales Manager, Siemens Odor Control, EMEA, was the keynote speaker in the conference.

This event is part of SAWEA’s activities for the education of professionals from the water and wastewater treatment industry. SAWEA, which operates under the auspices of oil company Saudi Aramco, is the official Saudi Arabia chapter of the USA Water Environment Federation (WEF), the largest Water Association in the world. Siemens sponsored this event that was attended by around 100 executives from the Ministry of Water in Saudi Arabia, the National Water Company and Aramco.

Mr. Ioannou presented the broad range of odor control solutions offered by the Industry Sector and Siemens Water Technologies, such as the two-phase Zabocs BTF biofilter. Siemens’s Zabocs biofilter is ideal for use in manholes, water collection systems, large water pumping stations and wastewater treatment plants. The presentation focused on the system’s features and on the environmental and financial advantages it can bring to the organizations and industries that leverage Siemens’s modern technologies.
