A prime example for such innovation is Desigo CC. This open, standards-based building management platform integrates awide range of disciplines such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning, security, fire safety, lighting, shading and energy management. All these disciplines can now be controlled from a central location. “This breadth of integration, and the increased benefit to customers that comes with it, are unique in the marketplace,” says Martin à Porta, head of BT business in the Europe Region, which encompasses 30 countries, including France, Switzerland, Austria and Sweden.

The modular design of Desigo CC allows building operators to start out with a relatively small installation and a modest scope of functions. As their needs increase, they can add more disciplines and functionalities at any time.
