Management Changes at Siemens Greece
Panos Xynis leaves the company, retiring

Panos Xynis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens SA, completing ten years of service, will leave the company retiring, on September 30, 2018.

Mr. Xynis took over the reins of Siemens Greece and Cyprus as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2009, and until 2013 he was also responsible for the markets of Albania and FYROM, and represented the cluster Supply Chain function in the South-West Europe Executive Committee of the company.

During his term of office, in a transitional and challenging period, Siemens Greece led a course under full transparency rules, setting the standards for compliance procedures for the companies in the country. At the same time, under his direction, the company developed and focused its activities in the areas of electrification and automation, transferring to the country the technological innovations for which Siemens is distinguished worldwide. In recent years, through a wide range of decisions and initiatives, he contributed to the company’s lead in the era of digitization and to its establishment among the leading digital technology companies in Greece, as well.

October 1, 2018 onwards and until a successor is named, the duties of the Chief Executive Officer will be taken over by Johann Goettler, along with his duties as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Goettler is a member of the company's Management Team, with significant international experience and an accomplished Siemens executive, in which he has been working for the last 18 years.
